Welcome to SHIFTing Focus

SHIFTing Focus is designed to support us to continue the conversation about important topics impacting the way we manage CF, to share our challenges, successes and new opportunities, and work together as we drive the shift we need, from research to clinical practice.

This medical education initiative is supported by Vertex and comprises this online Resource Hub and an e-newsletter series (distributed ~3 times per year). It offers all members of Australian and New Zealand multidisciplinary CF care teams the opportunity to explore relevant and engaging content and resources in a personalised manner that fits with the time you have available, your interest areas and your learning preferences.

New content will be published on the SHIFTing Focus resource hub regularly, including:

Masterclass articles and videos that pick up on topics discussed at SHIFT symposium events
State-of-the-art presentation summaries and videos on those topics
Short articles presenting Updates from the clinic, showcasing initiatives being implemented by Australian clinicians and their teams who are changing the way they manage particular aspects of CF care
Research studies and publication updates.

You can also explore other education and practical resources and activities, such as online learning modules and webinars, and stay up to date with information about the next SHIFT symposium.

I think the SHIFTing Focus Initiative is going to be hugely important for the broader CF healthcare community, not just the experts in the field. We all need to learn from each other and work together. I really want to encourage the more junior or emerging multidisciplinary team members to feel very welcomed in this process and to take part and join us in the whole SHIFTing Focus endeavour. We hope it will meet the needs of a shifting clinical approach to cystic fibrosis as it moves into a really exciting future that we can all meet together.
